Pawnee Sportsmens Center is pleased to announce that we are the first club in Colorado to become affiliated with the Pacific International Trapshooting Association (PITA). PITA is a not-for profit organization made up of State and Provincial Associations, governed by an Executive Committee elected from its membership. PITA's goal is to promote the sport of trapshooting through organized shooting events.

Targets shot at most PITA sanctioned events can be cross-registered with the ATA for a small fee.  The rules governing events are essentially the same in both Associations.

A major advantage of PITA is the offering of 50 target events on weekends. So, if your wallet is on the thin side and your time is at a premium, these 50 bird event programs (50 singles, 50 handicap, 25 pr doubles) may be of interest to you.

A state association named Colorado State Pacific International Trapshooting Association (CSPITA) has been formed and the board of directors is as follows:

PRESIDENT Kelly Stout PAWNEE DELEGATE Luis Gedo
FIRST VP Leon Rose AT LARGE DELEGATE Jimmy Phillips
SECOND VP Denis L Bringelson AT LARGE DELEGATE Tim Brough
SECRETARY/TREASURER Kathy Gedo CENTRAL HANDICAP Kevin Davis

The following Fee structure has been set by the new board: CSPITA ANNUAL DUES: $10/YEAR; CSPITA DAILY FEES: $2/DAY; CSPITA CLUB DUES: $100/YEAR.  (PITA annual dues are $10/year for new members, $20/year following initial membership. PITA daily fees are $2/day).

The CSPITA State Shoot is scheduled for June 11, 12 & 13, 2010 at Pawnee.

Friday, June 11, 2010 Warm-up Day 100 Singles/100 Handicap/50 pr Doubles
Saturday, June 12, 2010 Championship Singles 200 Singles
Sunday, June 13th, 2010 Championship Handicap & Doubles 100 Handicap, 50 pr Doubles

Registration & Start times will be posted at a later date. Overnight camping is available (no hook-ups). Please call for a camping reservation as space is limited.

For more information about PITA, please follow the link to their website: www.shootpita.com. We are excited about the opportunities available through this shooting organization and welcome any shooters and clubs who would like to participate as well.
